ISASTUR, the holding company of the Group, was founded in 1978 by a group of Asturian entrepreneurs and professionals. Over the years, the dedication of the professionals who, across multiple generations, have been part of our company, has fostered our growth and expansion in Spain and in several countries across Europe, Africa, and the Americas. What began as a nearly family-run business in the late 1970s is now a group of companies specializing in building infrastructures, primarily related to the energy and industrial sectors, operating on five continents.

Engineering and Technical Services
The group has extensive experience in the electrical engineering sector. Among our key expertise are medium, high, and very high voltage projects: transformer substations for outdoor and indoor installations (GIS) up to 800 kV in AC and DC, medium- and high-voltage lines, civil works engineering, structural steel design, and protection and control as well as communication systems.
We also specialize in the design of renewable energy generation plants, from resource evaluation, design, permitting, basic and detailed engineering to construction management and supervision.
Renewable Energy
With over 20 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, ISASTUR has participated in the design and construction of PV power plants (with over 3,500 MW installed across various countries), wind farms (with over 3,600 MW installed), as well as solar thermal, biomass, and cogeneration plants.
Our international presence has enabled us to offer our clients turnkey construction projects worldwide.
Substations and Power Lines
Since the beginning of our activities, one of ISASTUR main areas has been the design, construction, and commissioning of high and very high voltage transformer substations, both indoor and outdoor, up to 800 kV, in all types and configurations (conventional, GIS, hybrid); as well as the construction of high voltage overhead and underground lines up to 400 kV.
Electrical Installation, Instrumentation, and Automation and Control Systems
Numerous companies across various sectors (electricity, energy, petrochemicals, steel, cement, etc.) rely on us for the electromechanical assembly and maintenance of their facilities or for the industrial automation of their systems.
Our capabilities include: electrical and instrumentation installations, automation, and commissioning.
Mechanical Assembly
ISASTUR’s key activities include the mechanical assembly of industrial equipment and facilities, the prefabrication and installation of piping, and the assembly of metal structures, with experience across a wide range of industries.
Maintenance
We have extensive experience in industrial electromechanical maintenance, as well as in the maintenance of electrical transmission networks at any voltage level.
We also provide operation and maintenance services for solar power plants.
International Presence
Even before market and economic conditions made it necessary, ISASTUR had already focused part of its efforts on the internationalization of its activities. We were pioneers in expanding beyond Spain, and today ISASTUR has extensive experience in undertaking projects on an international scale.
Our international focus has enabled us to establish a permanent presence in countries across Europe, the Americas, and North Africa: the United Kingdom, Italy, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Morocco, and Algeria. Besides having a stable presence in these countries, ISASTUR has also worked in others such as Germany, Belgium, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, the Netherlands, Romania, Jordan, Yemen, Qatar, Egypt, Angola, Bolivia, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Aruba, among others.

This effort has been reflected in obtaining UNE 19602:2019 and UNE 19601:2017 certifications, related to tax and legal compliance, respectively.
