RISK FACTORS

  • A lack of order and cleanliness on site.
  • Possible obstacles in transit areas, irregular and/or slippery terrain (mud, plaques of ice, wet fields).
  • Knocking against objects on moving around inside the back of the truck when loading or unloading.

PREVENTIVE MEASURES

Rules for acting

  • Keep the work area in due conditions of order and cleanliness.
  • Avoid depositing objects in transit areas.
  • Do not pile up materials in places of transit.
  • Should they exist, always transit via the areas specifically provided for pedestrians.
  • At the end of the working day, spend some time gathering up surplus materials and equipment in the work area. If this is not possible, signpost the area where possible obstacles remain.
  • Spend part of the working day organizing and cleaning the store.
  • As far as possible, avoid slippery floors (oils, grease).
  • Remove waste daily, collecting this in suitable bins.
  • Periodic removal of waste.
  • Overhead electrical wiring is preferable.
  • Sufficient lighting.
  • Clear demarcation of work areas using cones or similar.
  • Pay the utmost attention and maximize precautions when transiting on slippery ground (mud, ice, snow).

Personal protection

  • Non-slip safety footwear with metallic inner soles.
