8. Underground Electric Cables
When working with high voltage underground shielded or armature electric cables, the following precautions must be taken to avoid accidents caused by the capacitance effect:
- Check that the armature or shielding is properly earthed.
- Check the covering of the grounds with which the operator may enter into Contact at the same time as with the voltage conductor.
- Use insulating gloves and stand on an insulating surface.
