ISOTRON finishes works in Mina Cuajone

ISOTRON was in charge of the revamping works in Botiflaca Substation.

ISOTRON has finished the works for Southern Copper Corporation in the upgrading project in Mina Cuajone, in the South of Perú.
ISOTRON’s works were related to the revamping of Botiflaca Substation and meant 140.000 hours/man.

Cuajone is an open-pit copper mine in Torata District, Mariscal Nieto Province, Moquegua Department. The copper deposits are located in the Western strip of the Central Mountain Range in the South of Peruvian Andes and belong to a mining District that has other two very well-known mining deposits: Toquepala and Quellaveco. Cuajone has an altitude of 3.500 meters and is one of the main copper mines of the country, getting to extract 15% of Peruvian copper.
