EDP awards contract to ISOTRON for installation of charging points for electric cars

ISOTRON, subsidiary Company in the Holding ISASTUR, has signed a frame agreement, for two years, with EDP Comercializadora for the installation of Charging Points for electric cars for City Councils, Shopping Malls and gas Stations.

The scope of the agreement includes the Legalisation Project, Design, Civil Works, Assembly and Maintenance, as well as the connection to power supply, protection and metering cabinets and a shed to keep the equipment.

ISOTRON has already completed (for EDP in collaboration with Villaviciosa Town Council) the first Charging Point of 7,5 kW, which joins the EDP charging network composed of the fast car 50 kW charging point in the EDP ECO station in Roces, Gijón – which also has a charging point for gas vehicles – and the existing charging points in Candas, Salinas, Piedras Blancas and Pola de Siero.

Also in Asturias, there will be shortly a new rapid charging point (50 kW) installed by ISOTRON in A8 highway, more specifically in the gas Station in Posada de Llanes.

This is the first stage of EDP’s development plan to provide Asturias with a public recharging network at strategic sites. To that end several agreements with certain town councils and gas stations are currently being negotiated.

The new infrastructure under discussion would be located in gas stations of Ribadesella, Pola de Laviana, Avilés, Cudillero, Tapia de Casariego, Cangas del Narcea, Oviedo and Gijón.

ISOTRON will also install for EDP Charging Points outside our region. In the next three months 6 charging points of 22 kW in Valencia and 1 of 50 kW in Vitoria will be implemented.
