4. Conditions that PPE must fulfil
PPE must provide effective protection against the hazards that prompt its use and also:
- Not suppose a hazard in itself.
- Not be the cause of additional hazards.
- Not produce unnecessary inconveniences.

- Responder a las condiciones del Workplace.
- Tener en cuenta las condiciones anatómicas y fisiológicas del trabajador.
- Adecuarse al usuario con los ajustes necesarios.
It must also be borne in mind that if certified PPE is used (which is the kind that is mandatory to use), it must fulfil the aforementioned conditions.
When PPE is used and the certificate is observed, what the latter means and what category the equipment belongs to must be known, at least.
