LAYING UNDERGROUND CABLES

  • Take hold of the sling, by the end furthest away from the knot, to reduce bending your back. Take hold of the sling
  • Thread the steel sleeve onto the conductor cable between two workers: one worker pushes the cable in one direction and the worker in front pushes the sleeve in the opposite direction.

  • In each cycle of pulling, rotate workers, from the first backwards, to share out the effort.
  • In each cycle of pulling, alternately stand on a different side of the cable with the aim of using all the muscles in your arms and back.
